Family of 5...

Welcome home Piper Jane!!! Piper was born Tuesday morning April 29, 2008 at 7:19. She weighed 8 lbs and 4 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. Cam and I arrived at the hospital a little after 1:00 that morning and everything went well. I was sooo fortunate to have a dear friend who works as a nurse at the hospital and she was there for me the entire time! I was also very fortunate to go into labor the same day my friend Anna had her baby Jack:).
Piper is the perfect addition to the family. The boys are so excited about their little sister. Poor Andrew went to the doc today and they said he had strep throat, which I guess is what I've had over the past week. We're both on antibiotics. Here are some pics from the hospital. Bad Timing...

We've got germs!! I've been sick for about 5-6 days with a really, really bad sore throat which has now become really bad congestion. I've drank enough herbal tea with honey to keep the tea makers in business. I knew I wasn't going to get any sleep last night so I decided to go ahead and call in. I'm so glad I did because about 2:30 Andrew comes to our room burning up with fever. He told me his throat hurts when he swallows:( Poor Piper is suppose to be here day after tomorrow and our house is full of germs!! I'm praying God will heal us all soon!
On a lighter note... Cam was talking to his mom yesterday to tell her we weren't coming over for lunch and he said, "Yea, Jenny is not feeling well, she's got the sniffles". SNIFFLES, WHAT??? I feel like I'm on my death bed so hearing that I've just got the sniffles made me feel much better (insert sarcasm). I've teased him about it quite a bit:)

Great Family Day

We've had such a busy day, full of fun and sun. We set up the bounce house for the boys to play in and they seriously played with that thing for well over 4 hours today. Cam and I worked on a flower bed. Well, Cam actually did all the work on preparing and building the bed, but I planted the flowers:) I also helped the boys find dozens of worms in the dirt we were using... needless to say we ALL needed a bath!
Only 4 days til Piper comes:)

Sleep Deprivation...

I'm sO SlEePy!!! God is definitely preparing me for baby Piper. I haven't really slept over 3 hours a night for the past 3 weeks. Obviously I'm not sleeping because my belly is so big, it's hard to get comfortable. Also, horrible indigestion and I'm battling a sore throat and an earache:( My sweetest reason I'm not getting to sleep has to do with my widdle boys:) Andrew always comes in to snuggle early in the morning, around 4:00 or so. Well, this morning, he brought a friend. I saw Andrew's head bobbing in the dark and then a shorter version bobbing behind him. Yep, it was Parker (Tar Tar). Andrew climbed up on one side and Parker climbed up on the other side of me. We noticed Parker's pj's were wet so Cam took him to get some new ones and he was sleepy enough that he didn't mind getting back in his own bed. While Cam was with Parker, I asked Andrew why Parker came with him (it was the first time this had happened). He said, "Oh, I woke him up and told him he could come with me to sleep with mommy:)". How sweet... of course it wasn't too sweet that early in the morning but I can just imagine Andrew waking up Parker to come snuggle mommy.

Happy Earth Day!!

We celebrated Earth day today at the Jr. High by raising money for the Rain Forest. The students had to pay $1.00 for a yard of duct tape to tape our Assistant Principal to the wall:) He was a good sport and stayed up for well over an hour. When they moved the crates, he didn't last long at all.
I went to the doc today and she set April 30th for the day we'll induce labor:) Anna and I had to pull some strings to be in the hospital at the same time:) she's scheduled to have a c-section on the 29th. We're planning a big American Idol watch party:)
On a sad note:( I took Andrew to Kindergarten Registration tonight. He was beaming with pride:) He's sooooo excited about starting school. I'm sure I'll have to be put on some heavy medication to take him to that first day...

What a beautiful day...

It is such a beautiful day outside. I think the high is going to be in the mid 70's. We all played and hung out in the backyard. Andrew enjoyed throwing his fishing pole and he's quite good at it. It has a clothes pin on the end so it gets stuck on the grass and he acts like he's reeling in a big bass or crappie:). Parker had fun drawing with chalk and making funny faces:). Cam and I are going out tonight while his mom watches the boys. Our dates usually consist of going out to eat, shopping at Wal-Mart or Target:) and then having dessert at the San Francisco Bread Company. They have great cheese cakes:). **(Is it possible to use too many smiley :) faces in one post?)**

Browsing iPhoto...

I was looking through some older pics I have stored in iPhoto and came across these. The boys have both grown up soooo much!! I love going back to look at the pictures, the boys like to look at them, too:) I'm sure Andrew is going to dislike me for the speedo picture:) but I couldn't resist.
Also... BEWARE, I've had a couple of comments left on some post trying to give me a virus. It says something like, Attention, see here and if you click on the word here, it tries to give you a virus. Thankfully I have a Mac but be careful...
