This past Saturday was The RESCUE. It was amazing! It's hard to even describe the event. This is the third year I've done this and this was by far the most moving event we've ever had. It was sort like a Revolution/Youth Revival all in one. I definitely consider myself privileged to have been in the company of those students. They were SO passionate about DOING something to change the situation in Uganda. They got IT. How exciting is that? They really got IT. I am so proud of them. Senator Gilbert Baker came to speak and "rescue" us. The Log Cabin covered it in Sunday's paper.
After Senator Baker spoke, the kids were given an opportunity to say something if they wanted. Probably 95% of the students stood up and spoke from their hearts about the children of Uganda. They spoke about how blessed we are and how much we take for granted. I was beaming with pride! Before walking back to our abduction site, we circled up and prayed for the kids in Uganda for about 45 minutes. It was AMAZING!! I pray we continue to fight UNTIL THEY ARE RESCUED!

That's amazing! I'd love to sit down with y'all sometime and just hear more about your passion for Africa.
That's great girl.
I love to see you making a difference in your job.
That is a great example for all of us to follow! God is using you and I know you are a blessing to those kids, both here and overseas.
