Yummy Crock Pot Dinner

I came across a blog where the lady is trying a new dish everyday from her crock pot. It's sooo cool (her link is on my list of blogs that I read). Tonight we had the Korean Ribs. It's super easy to cook. We used baby back ribs, 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 brown sugar, 1 cup of water and 3 jalepeno peppers. I cooked them for about 8 hours on low.

My thoughts on welcoming little Piper...

I remember how emotional I was when I was pregnant with Parker. I know this sounds crazy, but I was sooo sad for Andrew to have to share his mommy. I knew I would love the new baby, we didn't know if Parker was a boy or a girl, but I just loved Andrew so much and he was only 17 months old. I hated to turn his world upside down. Well, shortly after having Parker, I realized just what a gift he was to Andrew, not to mention what a gift he has been to me and Cam. I can't imagine life without Andrew and Parker being together. They are best friends:) So now after witnessing their relationship, I'm sooo excited about little Piper joining the crew. I can't wait to see Parker become a big brother. He is sooo happy about getting a little sister. I already know Andrew is a perfect big brother, so it'll be such a blessing to see him interact with Piper, too.

Diaper Sprayer

We bought this really nifty diaper sprayer to use since we'll be cloth diapering:) It's awesome. It will also come in handy when we rinse out the small potty Parker still uses.
We also have all of our cloth diapers. We have 18 total and half of them were given to us as gifts:) so we actually spent less than $150.00 total on diapers. I showed them to my principal, who has an 8 month old little girl, and she bought some and is using them now with her baby:) She loves them!!

2 weeks from today... mAyBe

I went to the doc today and she said she may induce April 28th. If not that day, then definitely that week. She's hoping to induce so Piper won't be so big when she's born. Both the boys were a week early and they were 8 lb 10oz and 8 lb 13 oz, so we're hoping Piper won't be bigger than they were (Good luck with that, especially since I gained 3.5 pounds in less than 2 weeks:) The doc has already said several times that she's definitely a chunky baby. My friend Anna will probably be induced around the same time so maybe we can visit each other's room:)

Silly boys:)

Okay, so I had to hurry and post again to bump the last post down a bit:) What were we thinking?? Anyway, I thought I'd post a couple of cute things the boys have said this week....

Our babysitter Mindy said the other day that Andrew told her he liked shrimp. She was a little surprised and asked, "How do you eat your shrimp?" He said, "Well, I take all of the crunchy part off and then eat the chicken":)

Andrew asked me today if God wore a purple shirt:)

The other night Parker got out of bed and came in the living room and said, "Andrew has to go to the bathroom". Cameron went in and asked, "Andrew, do you have to go to the bathroom?" Andrew said, "NO". Parker said, "Well, he's been tooting and it STINKS". While shutting the door Cam said, "It'll go away in a minute", Parker said, "What will go away in a minute?" Cam said, "THE STINK"....

Don't cheapen the blog....

Yesterday I was telling Cameron how I needed to update the blog because it had been a week and my hundreds:) of readers were probably wondering where I had been. He asked what would I blog about and I said, "surely I can come up with something" he then reminded me of something I had almost lost sight of, he said, "Jenny, don't cheapen the blog". Wow.... I hadn't even realized that's exactly what I was about to do. I mean, this blog is my responsibility to spread love, hope and inspiration to others. What was I thinking? I'm so glad he stopped me.
I am glad to say that tonight after watching American Idol Gives Back, I now have something worthy to blog about. Cameron and I wanted to leave something with you in hopes to inspire us all to GIVE BACK....

Warning.. read with caution!!

So not everyone thinks bathroom humor is funny but I'm sure all mommies of little boys can appreciate it:) Andrew has been potty trained for a couple of years but still needed help wiping, he also needed to start pottying on the big potty instead of the wee one. Over the past few weeks, he's been doing both really well. He now goes into the bathroom and uses it, wipes himself and even washes his hands:). The other night I heard him holler from the bathroom, "WOW!!! Come look at how HUGE my poo poo is". Of course, I couldn't let him down so I went and looked and sure enough it was gigantic. He told me, "Don't flush it, I want Parker to see". When Parker came to the bathroom, Andrew said "Look at that huge pickle", which totally confused Parker, he said, "Is it really a pickle?" After they gawked at it for a minute or so they flushed it and Andrew came running and told me, "MOM... it couldn't fit down the toilet, it had to fold like this (hand motions) to get down the toilet". He was so proud:)
